The column spoke to people close to the (GCM), Henrique Marival de Sousa, 46 years old, arrested in the act after killing the City Hall Security Officer, Adilson Custódio Moreira, in an attempt to understand the context of the situation and what the profile was of the agent. Before becoming GCM 5 years ago, Marival worked as a traffic agent. People who worked with the guard said he was always “calm” while on duty. A source recalled an episode involving a person fined by Marival, in which the driver attacked him, but the agent acted without nervousness. “He was well controlled,” according to the source.
Work as a traffic agent lasted around 2 years in Osasco (SP). “He had the dream of changing his life, that’s why he took the exam for the Metropolitan Civil Guard”, reported another source. After passing the exam, he joined the GCM’s reserved service, working armed, but without the need to wear the municipal corporation’s uniform. “When there was a change in management, the meeting was to talk about changes in the agents’ performance. He went from ‘veiled’ service to wearing a uniform and freaked out,” said another source.
According to a person who was at the meeting at the time of the crime, Marival felt discredited and saw the transition from reserved service to working on the streets as persecution and ended up shooting his boss. “His (Marival) relationship with the secretary and deputy wasn’t the best, but then he went in to kill, no one expected that,” said the source.
