Dietitian Dr. Bartek Kulczyński, who talks on his social media channel about what a healthy diet should look like, explains whether it is worth using collagen tablets. According to the specialist, this is a good solution, but expensive. A much cheaper option is to take collagen contained in natural foods, such as an easy-to-make drink.
Dr. Kulczyński shares the recipe for a collagen drinkwhich anyone can prepare at home without any problems and for pennies. You only need to prepare three ingredients and mix them together to enjoy the health benefits of the collagen mixture.
Ingredients:
- 1-2 tablespoons of gelatin,
- 1/4 cup of cold water,
- 1.5 cups of orange juice (or any other juice containing vitamin C).
How to do it:
Pour gelatin into water, mix and set aside for about 5 minutes to swell. When the gelatin absorbs the water, put it in a pot and heat slightly until it dissolves completely. Then pour it into the orange juice and mix well. Drink immediately to prevent the gelatin from thickening again.
You can replace the orange juice with another one, provided it contains vitamin C. It is worth using blackcurrant, strawberry, grapefruit, guava and even sauerkraut juice instead.
The most important thing in a collagen drink is gelatini.e. animal protein that provides the body with a portion of amino acids, which are later transformed into collagen in the body. It is thanks to this ingredient that the mixture has such a positive health effect. However, you cannot miss juice with vitamin C, because this substance definitely accelerates the production of collagen.
