Italian Super Cup: AC Milan erased a two-goal deficit and rejoices in the trophy over the city rival

AC Milan footballers won the Italian Super Cup. In Monday’s final match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, they won 3:2 over city rival Interwhen they erased a two-goal deficit. Tammy Abraham decided their triumph in extra time.

The AC players triumphed in the domestic Super Cup for a total of eight times and thus equaled Inter in the historical table. Juventus holds the record with nine titleswho lost to AC in the semi-finals of this year’s edition. Inter knocked out Atalanta in the semi-finals. AC Milan previously won this trophy for the last time in 2016. Inter have succeeded in the previous three editions.

Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in favor of Inter in the final in the set-up of the first half. Right at the beginning of the second half, Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi added the second goal. However, AC Milan turned the score around. First, Theo Hernandez scored from a direct kick, Christian Pulisič equalized in the 80th minute, and Abraham completed the conversion in added time.
