Londrina City Hall announced the acquisition of two Light Fire Fighting Vehicles (VLCI), which will join the Municipal Fire Department fleet.
These vehicles, specially designed for fighting fires in urban and forestry areas, stand out for their agility and ability to access difficult-to-reach places, making them essential for quick and effective interventions in areas with limited access.
The new vehicles are equipped with fire pumps, hoses and other essential materials for firefighting operations. Furthermore, they have a fuel capacity that allows them to travel up to 300 km or operate the fire pump for four consecutive hours.
The acquisition of these two vehicles represented an investment of R$ 180 thousand by the Municipality. The president of , Vítor Aleixo, highlighted the importance of this measure: “Equipping ourselves with equipment such as these vehicles is essential to be able to carry out an effective policy to combat fires, safeguarding human lives, property and the environment. This is, therefore, an investment of great importance for our community.”
With this acquisition, the vehicle fleet of the Loulé Municipal Fire Department now has 38 vehicles, reinforcing the corporation’s operational capacity and its response to emergencies.
