When looking for inspiration for sweet snacks, it is worth paying attention to a recipe that will help you prepare an alternative to traditional donuts. What’s more, this delicacy can be prepared in just a few moments, and it is lighter and more delicate than the well-known confectionery donuts. We tell you what to serve during this year’s carnival.
Donuts are one of the delicacies that often appear during carnival. Even though they are very tasty, preparing them at home is quite time-consuming. What’s more, frying them is not easy at all and requires skill and experience. So this year it’s worth replacing them with something a bit easier.
This version of donuts is not difficult to prepare and can be made by anyone, even without great culinary skills. In addition, frying them is also much easier. We’re talking about cheese donuts. They are made from dairy products, or more precisely from homogenized cheese.
This delicacy is much lighter than traditional donuts. The dough it is made from is fluffy and rises very well. What’s more, Cheese donuts are less fatty. The good news is that the process of preparing them is much faster than in the case of regular donuts and we do not use yeast.
However, in order for the delicacy to be perfect, we must remember a very important rule. Namely, all used by us should be at room temperature. Thanks to this, the cheese donuts will turn out perfect.

Donuts made of homogenized cheese are a delicacy that can be prepared in just a few moments. What’s more, you won’t need many ingredients to make these delicious sweets. All we need to prepare is:
- 300 g of homogenized vanilla cheese,
- 250 g of wheat flour,
- 1 egg,
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar,
- 1 pinch of salt,
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar,
- powdered sugar (amount to decorate donuts),
- oil for frying.
To prepare cheese donuts, start by heating the oil in a deep frying pan or pot. While the fat is heating up, mix the homogenized cheese with the egg. Then add flour, sugar and baking powder and mix everything.
We grease our hands with oil and form small donuts from the dough. After creating the balls, immediately put them in the heated oil. We don’t need to turn the donuts because they will do it on their own while frying. Remove them from the oil when they are golden brown and place them on a paper towel to remove excess fat. When serving the donuts, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
