In December, Moraes spoke again about cooperation when praising WhatsApp’s stance in the 2022 elections.

Zuckerberg’s statements this Tuesday are yet another sign of how the company is repositioning itself for the new Donald Trump administration, which takes office on January 20.
Trump will have Musk as one of the members of his government, who actively participated in the Republican’s campaign.
“Let’s eliminate fact-checkers [checagem de fatos] and exchange them for community notes, similar to X”, said Zuckerberg this Tuesday.
Instead of using news organizations and other third-party groups, Meta will rely on users to add corrections or notes to posts that may contain false or misleading information.
“Ultimately, we will work with President Trump to resist governments around the world that are persecuting American companies and pushing for more censorship,” he added, before criticizing policies in other regions of the world regarding freedom of expression.
“Latin American countries have secret courts that can order companies to remove content silently,” he said.
The Goal amidst the trial on platform accountability
Last month, the company released a criticism and said that “no major democracy in the world has ever attempted to implement a liability regime for digital platforms similar to what has been suggested so far in the STF trial.”
Last year, Brazilian court decisions released last year by the US Congress showed that X the existence of a court decision to block suspended profiles.
