Adilson Custódio Moreira was shot after a disagreement during a meeting at city hall
The Deputy Secretary of Security of Osasco (SP), Adilson Custódio Moreira, was killed this Monday (Jan 6, 2025) after being shot by a GCM (Metropolitan Civil Guard) agent, at the city hall headquarters.
According to information from the G1the secretary had scheduled a meeting with the civil guards to discuss the new structure of the corporation. At the time, Adilson and one of the agents had a disagreement. The man then pulled out the gun and fired.
After the shots, the other guards who participated in the meeting ran out of the place and the agent locked himself inside the room with the secretary, where they stayed for around 2 hours.
The Gate (Special Tactical Actions Group) of the PM (Military Police) took over the negotiation for the civil guard to surrender, which only happened around 7:30 pm. The agent was arrested at the scene and taken to the police station.
Site employees were evacuated and there is no information about other victims.
To the Poder360the SSP-SP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat) said that more details about the incident will be released later.
