Sílvio Joel dos Santos, 32 years old, died after being involved in an accident on BR-277, in the early hours of Monday (6). The body of his ex-wife, aged 30, was found this Tuesday morning (7), partially submerged in the Salto River, in Palmeira. According to delegate Rodrigo Oliveira, from the Civil Police, one of the lines of investigation analyzes whether the ex-husband had killed Vanessa and then taken his own life.
“We still don’t have concrete elements to say, with certainty, that it was he who committed murder, feminicide in this case, and then committed suicide. However, it is one of the investigative lines”, said the delegate.

“The PCPR informs that an investigation was launched to investigate the death of Vanessa Aparecida Mayer, whose body was found in the waters of the Rio do Salto this Tuesday (7), in Palmeira. The team continues with investigations and interviews with witnesses to determine whether there is a correlation with a traffic accident, which occurred on Monday (6), on BR-277, in which the young woman’s ex-partner died. PCPR awaits additional reports to proceed with the case“.
