The Civil Police located this Tuesday (7) a load of synthetic grass that had been stolen at the end of last year, in São Paulo.
The material belongs to Soccer Grass, the company that supplies the flooring for the Allianz Parque field. The company estimated the value of the merchandise at around R$1.3 million.
The suspects arrived at the company’s warehouse, in the Balneário Mar Paulista neighborhood, in the south of São Paulo, and took 10,000 meters of material, using two trucks.
The case happened on the night of December 22nd and a police report was registered at the 98th Police District (Jardim Miriam).
According to information from the SSP (Public Security Secretariat), the police managed to intercept one of the vehicles with part of the stolen material in Parque Novo Mundo, in the north of the capital. In a warehouse nearby, another part of the material was found.
“Around ten suspects were at the scene and were taken to the police station to provide clarification. The case is still ongoing,” the secretariat said in a statement.
