All districts on the continent are under yellow warning due to rain, with the possibility of thunderstorms. Gusts of up to 75 km/h on the coast and up to 95 km/h in high areas, at least until midday this Wednesday.
All districts in the country will be under protection from 9am on Wednesday yellow warning due to the forecast of rain, sometimes heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The districts of Lisbon, Bragança Guarda, Leiria, Castelo Branco and Coimbra will be under yellow warning until 3pm and Viseu, Évora, Porto, Faro, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Viana do Castelo, Beja, Aveiro, Portalegre and Braga until end of the day.
IPMA also placed the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga under yellow warning due to the strong southwest wind with gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour (km/h) on the coast and up to 95 km/h in the highlands between 03:00 and 12:00 on Wednesday.
The districts of Braga, Coimbra, Aveiro, Beja, Leiria, Lisbon, Viana do Castelo, Setúbal, Faro and Porto will also be under yellow warning between 6am and 6pm on Wednesday due to the sea unrestforecasting waves from the southwest of 4 to 5 meters, becoming waves from the northwest.
