The deputy secretary of Security and Urban Control of Osasco (SP), Adilson Custódio Moreira, aged 53, was shot dead in the early evening of Monday (6). The suspect in the crime is Henrique Marival de Souza, 46 years old.
The deputy secretary called a meeting with civil guards to announce some changes. At the end of the meeting, Moreira said that guards who wanted to talk privately could expect to be attended to.
Souza was the last to meet with the assistant secretary and, armed, took advantage of the opportunity to surrender him. The secretary had left his gun at home. At least eight shots, according to the Civil Police, and at least four hit the secretary. The necroscopic report is still pending.
When they were fired, Souza was alone with Moreira in a room at the city hall, and no one could say whether the secretary had been hit immediately.
After the crime, Souza remained locked in the room while negotiating his surrender with military police officers. It was only around 7:30 pm that he agreed to surrender. The .
The civil guard was arrested and taken to the 5th Police District of Osasco, where he would be interviewed and should be charged with the murder. According to the command of the Osasco Municipal Civil Guard, Souza was not the target of complaints or investigations due to administrative processes. He has been a member of the Guard for over 15 years.
According to preliminary investigations, Souza was angry with a change of role decided by his boss and announced by Moreira and that is why he committed the crime. He would no longer be part of the personal security team of now mayor Gerson Pessoa (Podemos) to return to working on the streets.
