Dom João 6°’s clock, which was from 2023, was restored and returned to Palácio do Planalto this Tuesday (7).
At the time, images from the Planalto’s internal circuit. The watch was restored in Switzerland. Gifted by the court of Louis 14, of France, in the 17th century, the work was brought to Brazil by Dom João 6° in 1808.
Others at Palácio do Planalto on Monday (6): the work “As mulattas”, by Di Cavalcanti; the wood sculpture by Frans Krajcberg; and the bronze sculpture “The Pied Piper”, by Bruno Giorgi.
In total, 20 works were restored in a laboratory with specialists created at Palácio da Alvorada, and will be reintegrated into the presidency’s collection.
