The improbable happened during the celebrations of Milan’s third and decisive goal in the Italian Super Cup final. Sérgio Conceição, while celebrating the winning goal against Inter, ended up hurting his ankle and returning to the bench visibly limping.
After the final whistle, the Portuguese coach was attended to by the technical committee, which generated surprise among some players.
In a video of the moment, it is possible to see Emerson Royal, who appears to have been at the origin of the incident. At the press conference, Conceição clarified the situation, pointing to the Brazilian midfielder, who played 87 minutes of the final.
“During the celebrations for the third goal, Emerson made a tackle worthy of a red card, and that ended up hurting me a lot”, said the coach.
