Christmas is the holiday in which we use the most decorations to decorate our home. Most of them will serve us for at least a few years, but most often every year a few of them have to be thrown away because they have broken down. In such a situation, it is not worth throwing everything straight into the black bin. It’s better to know where they should go and how to sort the most popular decorations.
Baubles are decorations that are most often damaged – just a moment of inattention can break a glass one or crush a plastic one. Depending on the type, they should be disposed of in different containers. We should throw glass baubles into the black bin. These versions are not suitable for recycling because they often have additional decorations, including: or varnish. In the case of plastic baubles, the matter is quite simple because, like other products made of this material, they should be thrown into the yellow container.
Another decoration that we have to replace from time to time because it is broken are Christmas tree lights. It is best to throw this type of waste into an e-waste container. If we don’t have one in the area, you can also take it to the Selective Waste Collection Point. Broken products of this type should also be accepted by electronics stores that will know how to dispose of them.
