The region of the Second District of Rio Branco had 45% of the total weapons seizures carried out throughout the state of Acre during the year 2024. The balance was released by the 2nd Battalion of the Military Police of Acre (PMAC).

According to Lieutenant Colonel Felipe Russo, commander of the 2nd Battalion, in an interview with TV Gazeta, the unit seized a total of 223 firearms in the Second District of the capital of Acre.
In addition to the high volume of seizures, 647 arrests were made to the police station and a total of 11 arrest warrants were served.
The police station also carried out 21,259 community policing sessions over the last year, which included lectures in schools and prevention actions in businesses.
