The former director general of the (Federal Highway Police) Silvinei Vasques was appointed secretary of Economic Development and Innovation of São José (SC). Vasques in 2023 for carrying out operations in the Northeast that allegedly prevented voters from voting in the 2nd round of the 2022 elections. In August 2024, the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes released the former agent, under the use of an electronic ankle bracelet .
Silvinei was appointed by the mayor (PSD), re-elected in October 2024. The former director is from Ivaiporã (PR), and joined the PRF in 1995. In 2022, he obtained full voluntary retirement – without loss of salary
