The mayor of Soria, Carlos Martínez, confirms his pre-candidacy for the PSOE primaries in Castilla y León
The Soria councilor, Carlos Martínez, appeared this Wednesday morning to announce the registration of his pre-candidacy to assume responsibility for the general secretary of the PSOE in Castilla y León.
Martínez says he made the decision “after intense days, weeks and months of personal and collective reflection, with the militancy and society of Soria” and assures that his “fundamental objective is to obtain the trust of Castilla y León.” “It is absolutely urgent and necessary to change public policies that do not give results on old problems in the community. “We understood the need to generate a change in the PSOE, based on solid foundations, the work of many years of distinguished socialists from Castilla y León,” he added.
Martínez has referred to past socialist leaders such as Luis Tudanca himself, with whom he has recognized “different trenches in congresses and organic processes.” “I want to recognize the work and generosity of Luis Tudanca in carrying out this process, his honesty in the dialogues of recent weeks, almost continuous, and that step aside that allows this change, this revulsion and this project for Castilla y León,” the Sorian mayor said.
