NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region starts 2025 with a broad set of initiatives to promote economic development, innovation and competitiveness of companies in the region.
“We enter 2025 with a renewed vision and a reinforced commitment to Sergipe’s businesspeople. We know that the challenges are great, but we believe that, together, we can transform these challenges into opportunities to strengthen the regional economy. In this sense, we will continue to prioritize intervention, in an articulated manner, with public institutions and national and regional associations, with the aim of contributing to the defense of the interests of companies and the region”, guarantees Vítor Neto, President of NERA.
Among the main approved projects, four SIAC Projects (Support Systems for Collective Actions) stand out, financed by the Algarve 2030 Regional Program, focusing on the internationalization of products, innovation, digital transition, qualified entrepreneurship, decarbonization and sustainability.
Projects from 2024 are also under development, such as INTERREG Transfronteiriço (POCTEP), dedicated to the agri-food sector, and INTERREG Atlântico, focused on the blue economy. Furthermore, NERA is part of the Algarve Cybersecurity Competence Center consortium, a project supported by the PRR.
In the scope of professional training, the Emprego + Digital Project stands out, with 40 free training actions, as well as the regular certified training offer. Two applications submitted to INTERREG SUDOE last year are still under analysis.
These initiatives respond to the current needs of companies and are aligned with regional and national strategic priorities, reinforcing NERA’s role as a strategic partner for the Algarve business fabric.
The association maintains its commitment to sustainable development and competitiveness, promoting innovation and growth of local companies.
