Baked sandwiches are a great choice

Not only are baked sandwiches a great way to use up the food you have on hand, but it’s not a difficult recipe and it doesn’t take much time to prepare. In addition, you can prepare them from a wide variety of foods and ingredients. And they can be served not only as a snack, but also as a main meal, which will certainly not burden your wallet either.

Ingredients needed

Before you start preparing, prepare all the necessary ingredients. This is 1 lid, 50 g of dry salami, for example hunter’s, 100 g of ham, 150 g of grated cheese, 1 hard-boiled egg, 2 spoons of sour cream, 1 spoon of sweet chili sauce, 4 to 5 sun-dried tomatoes, 1 bunch of spring onions, a pinch of salt, pepper and oregano.

Baked sandwiches with hunter

First, cut the hunting salami and ham into smaller pieces. Then finely chop the sun-dried tomatoes, spring onions and hard-boiled eggs. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Then add sour cream, sweet chilli sauce and season to taste with pepper, salt and oregano. Mix everything well at this point.

Make sandwiches

Cut the lid into equally thick slices and evenly layer the prepared mixture on each of them. Line a tray with baking paper and place the sandwiches on it. They should not touch each other so that they do not stick together.

Baking phase

Put the tray prepared in this way into a preheated oven at 220 °C and let it bake for about 10 minutes. As a result, the sandwiches should have a slightly brownish crust that is pleasantly crunchy. They are best served warm, but they taste great cold if you don’t happen to use them all up right away. Bread rolls can also be reheated.

Try other variations as well

You can vary the flavor of the breadsticks, depending on what you have available at home and also according to your taste requirements. In addition to the classic combination of dry salami, you can also try other ingredients such as sausage or other types of soft salami.

You can also eat different types of cheese. Emmental, cheddar, Niva, ermine, mozzarella and parmesan are suitable. Vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, corn, peas, onions, garlic or olives can also be added to the filling, and of course herbs such as chives, parsley or basil. To enhance the taste, you can add a little ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise to the filling.
