A (Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo) said this Wednesday (8.jan.2025) that the heavy rains that hit São Paulo on Tuesday (7.jan.2025) affected the water supply in part of the capital and also in Santo André, in the metropolitan region.
According to the company, the normalization of water supply to the affected locations should be carried out in the early hours of Thursday (9.Jan.2025).

According to Sabesp, the power outage caused by the storm affected 2 supply systems, which affected some neighborhoods in the 2 municipalities.
Sabesp asked people to prioritize the use of water from water tanks for hygiene and food until supply normalizes. The company also gave some tips for saving water, such as taking shorter showers and leaving the tap turned off while brushing your teeth or shaving.
