In central and northern Slovakia, expect wind on the mountains on Thursday evening and on Friday (January 10) at night. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) issued second level warning, which is provisionally valid from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Friday. He informed about it on his website.
The second level warning against wind in the mountains is valid in in most districts of the Žilina Region and in the districts of Banská Bystrica, Brezno and Poprad. The first level warning is to be valid in these parts of Slovakia until Friday 10:00 a.m.
Meteorologists also point out the wind, which must be expected at night in the entire Bratislava, Nitra and Trnava regions and in the districts of Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Kežmarok, Poprad, Liptovský Mikuláš and Tvrdošín. The warning of the first degree is provisionally valid until Friday 12:00 p.m.
