The Public Ministry of the State of Paraná (MPPR) filed a complaint against six people suspected of involvement in the teacher’s death. He was shot to death on March 15, 2024, in the Sítio Cercado neighborhood, in Curitiba. Those accused are identified as responsible for planning, monitoring and executing the crime.
Investigation and motivations
According to investigations, the murder occurred after Fábio sued the company ARP Motors, asking for labor funds in excess of R$300,000. The company belongs to Alan Ricardo Pereira, identified as the mastermind of the crime. The Civil Police believe that, in addition to the legal action, the victim was aware of possible financial irregularities in the company, which would have motivated the crime.
Testimonials and evidence
The suspects’ statements were crucial to the complaint. Alan Ricardo Pereira, questioned by the Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR), chose to remain silent. Afterwards, Alan’s lawyer directly questioned whether he ordered the professor to be killed, and Alan denied it. However, investigations indicate that he was the mastermind of the crime.
Dieke Chales Monteiro, also suspected of planning the execution, remained silent during the testimony. Erik Gustavo Farias Ritter and Genivaldo Ribeiro de Santana, identified as those responsible for monitoring Fábio and carrying out the murder, were the first to be arrested. Erik denied being the shooter, while Genivaldo confessed to his involvement and attributed the shooting to his partner.
Data extracted from Erik’s cell phone revealed messages sent to his wife shortly after the crime, in which he details the execution. In one of the messages, Erik states that he discharged the weapon, but that the initial plan was to fire only three times, with the aim of not looking like an execution.
Isadora Maria Dargel da Silva, suspected of providing logistical support to the executors, claimed that she was deceived by Fernandes Nogueira Barros, another suspect and former companion of hers. Fernandes is on the run, and Isadora believes he has fled to Paraguay.
Motivation for the crime and new revelations
Initially, the motivation for the crime was associated with Fábio’s alleged involvement with Dieke’s wife. However, the hypothesis was discarded after analyzing the evidence. A photo sent by Dieke to Erik on the day of the crime caught the attention of the police. Fábio’s image was saved on his cell phone as “Fábio Financeiro ARP”, reinforcing the labor and financial motivation for the murder.
According to the Public Ministry’s complaint, planning for the crime began in 2023. Authorities identified frequent contacts between Alan Ricardo Pereira and Dieke Chales Monteiro during this period.
Everyone involved was arrested during the investigations, except Fernandes Nogueira Barros, who remains at large and will be placed on the list of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). Isadora was released on provisional release. The case continues to await the development of the judicial process.
