Taiwan suspects China of damaging submarine cable

Taipei/Beijing – After a submarine cable was damaged off the coast of Taiwan, the government in Taipei suspects a ship chartered by China. The Taiwan Coast Guard said on Thursday that “the possibility cannot be ruled out” that the ship was involved in “gray zone” activities. However, direct evidence of this has not been presented.
