The union of fiscal auditors of the Minas Gerais Revenue Service (Sindifisco) published and deleted from its website this Wednesday (8) a note that stated that the Secretary of Finance of Minas Gerais, Luiz Cláudio Gomes, had anticipated a veto by the governor ( New) to an adjustment in civil servants’ remuneration.
This is an increase in the bonus that can be paid to state tax auditors. If sanctioned, they could receive up to four times the base salary for the role (R$10,600), that is, the remuneration could be up to R$42,400, in addition to the basic salary.
The project, inserted through a “jabuti” (a topic unrelated to the subject of the project) in the Legislative Assembly, had repercussions due to the spending ceiling in force in the state, which prevents the adjustment of civil servants’ salaries above the previous year’s inflation.
The Finance department denies that the secretary anticipated the veto against the union and says that the publication was excluded because it was a lie by Sindifisco. He also states that he will only be able to comment on the matter if it becomes law.
The president of Sindifisco, Matias Bakir, said that the note was removed due to a technical problem, but that it would return to the website this Thursday morning (9).
He also said that the communications are restricted to union members and, therefore, are not accessible to the public.
“To the board [do sindicato]the Secretary of Finance is fully responsible for this defeat, for not having been able to defend the Tax Authority’s claim”, said the note published on the website and sent to members, to which the column had access.
