Leão signed ten athletes for 2025 and is looking for more reinforcements

Vitória trained this Wednesday (8) with the return of the rest of the squad and the presence of those hired to join the preparation for the five competitions in 2025. In total, Leão will compete in five tournaments: Campeonato Baiano, Copa do Nordeste, Copa do Brasil, Sudamericana and Brasileirão.
To face the marathon of games, the red and black team maintained the base of the team that played in the last Brasileirão and managed to qualify for the international competition. In total, there are 18 athletes remaining.
After the end of the Brazilian Championship, the club’s management renewed the contracts of Raul Cáceres, Ricardo Ryller, Willian Oliveira and Carlos Eduardo. In addition to the quartet, defender Caio Vinícius had his contract extended until the end of the Bahia Championship to reinforce the team coached by Thiago Carpini.
Last Friday (3), group one presented itself with players with the lowest rating in Serie A, young players requested by Vitória’s coach and five new signings, such as Ronald, Claudinho, Zé Marcos, Bruno Xavier and Thiaguinho. This Wednesday (8), goalkeeper Lucas Arcanjo and captain Wagner Leonardo returned to Toca do Leão.
Among the “old acquaintances”, midfielder Dionísio returned from loan with Brusque and is another option for Leão’s commander. The player was a key player in the Serie C campaign in 2022 and scored his only goal for the club against Paysandu , a match that sealed access.
The group also gained four more reinforcements in this second re-presentation. Striker Wellington Rato and midfielder Val Soares, as well as goalkeeper Gabriel Vasconcelos and winger Fabrício, who arrives at Leão do Levante, from Spain. The red-black board is still in the market looking for at least three athletes. Leão’s priority is to sign a center forward, a wing forward and a midfielder.
