Rain, strong wind and sea disturbances bring special attention to Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real, Aveiro and Viseu.
The districts of Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real, Aveiro and Viseu are Wednesday under orange warning due to wind, rain, and sea disturbances, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
These six Castle districts are under orange warning because, in addition to the precipitation sometimes forte, there will be gusts of vento that can reach 100 km/h.
In relation to sea unrest, Southwest waves can reach 4 to 5 meters on the west coast, gradually changing to west/northwest waves from the afternoon of the 8th.
The orange warning is issued by IPMA whenever there is a meteorological situation of moderate to high risk.
The districts of Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Santarém and Évorawill continue under yellow warning due to precipitation until 6:00 pm.
The coastal districts Coimbra, Leiria, Lisbon, Setúbal, Beja and Faro stay under yellow warning until Thursday at 6pm due to sea unrest, in addition to the yellow warning for precipitation until Wednesday.
The yellow warning, the least serious on a scale of three, is issued whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
