The 2024 edition of the Olympia featured several surprises, such as the end of Francielle Mattos’ reign in Wellness and the debut of Vitor Porto, who took fifth place in the 212th.

With the arrival of new athletes on the world bodybuilding scene, 2025 promises to be one of the most exciting years for fans – especially Brazilians. Therefore, the Músculo blog separated several events that could happen this year.

Brandão in the top5 at the Open

With his place for Olympia 2025 guaranteed since November 2024, Rafael Brandão will have time to work and present an improved version of his physique this year. Given this situation, it is expected that the Brazilian bodybuilder will advance positions in relation to the last edition of the championship, where he came in eighth place.

The return of Diogo Montenegro

The until then fifth best Men’s Physique on the planet was not present at the 2024 edition of the Olympia for personal reasons. With the change in the category’s standards and the positions the athlete has achieved in recent years, he is seen as a potential challenger to Ryan Terry’s title.

From 2021 to 2024, Montenegro took third place at Olympia on two occasions. During that time, he also won a trophy and a runner-up finish at the Arnold Classic Ohio.

Or Ramon Dino title

Despite the stumbles last year, the Acre native is still one of the main candidates to inherit the title from Chris Bumstead, who retired after securing his sixth title.

Champion of the Arnold Classic Ohio in 2023 and runner-up in the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Olympia, Ramon will face competitors such as Mike Sommerfeld and Urs Kalecinski, who had a more fruitful season in 2024.

Triple dispute in Wellness

The 2024 edition was marked by the end of the reign of Francielle Mattos, who had won the title three times. Displaced by Isa Pereira Nunes, the athlete must try to regain the trophy in yet another clash between Brazilian women in the category.

The 2025 Olympia, however, may have another challenger: Eduarda Bezerra. The Brazilian debuted on the sport’s most important stage with third place last year, and her meteoric rise could mean that the fight for the title, which in recent years was concentrated in the clash between Isa and Francielle, turns into a battle led by the three athletes.
