Putin shocks the world with his very rare visit to this leader of the European Union

He has assured that his country has guaranteed the supply of gas from Russia just before Ukraine cut off gas transit from the country in early 2025.

In a video published on the social network Facebook this Wednesday, Robert Fico stated that “I needed to ensure at least gas for Slovakia’s internal consumption, and we have achieved it.”

The Slovak Prime Minister explained that this agreement for the supply of gas was reached in a meeting with the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, which took place in Moscow in December.

Besides, Fico has accused Ukraine of harming his country by not extending the Russian gas transit agreement that was set to expire at the end of 2024. and has indicated that the end of supplies from Ukraine had cost Slovakia 500 million euros in transit fees and 1 billion in higher gas prices.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyhas reacted to this news accusing Robert Fico of opening a “second energy front” against Ukrainesupposedly on orders from Russia.
