The US announced new aid, worth 500 million dollars, for Ukraine, in what may have been the last meeting of a group with over 50 allies. There is just over a week left until Trump returns to the White House.
Created almost three years ago by the US, the group that coordinates the sending of military aid to Ukraine now faces an uncertain future.
“It is clear that a new chapter begins in Europe and for the whole world, in 11 days”, says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Donald Trump’s arrival at the White House could mean that the 25th meeting of the Alliance that took place this Thursday in Germany could have been the last.
Attacks intensify in Ukraine
At Ramstein air base, Zelensky called on allies not to let Ukraine fall. This Friday, he meets in Rome with the Italian head of government, who has already sought to calm those who fear the worst with Trump’s return to power.
The country is witnessing an intensification of attacks on civilian infrastructure. This is what happened this Thursday with new bombings on a residential area in the Kerhson region, in southern Ukraine.
