Minister of the Civil House states that if the Legislature complies with the standards established by the STF, the impasse with the Court will be overcome
The Minister of the Civil House, said this Thursday (January 9, 2025) that the standards agreed by the Three Powers in relation to parliamentary amendments are not being followed and that compliance with the rules would avoid friction between Congress and the (Supremo Tribunal Federal).
“If those parameters combined by mutual agreement [entre os Três Poderes]and accepted by all, are implemented, we will overcome the impasses”said the minister in an interview with GloboNews.
Rui Costa also criticized the volume of amendments to the Budget. He said that Brazil has almost 50% of the discretionary budget allocated to amendments, which, in practice, has an “aerosol effect”. He said that the use of money does not cause visible changes in people’s lives.
The minister stated, however, that despite the reservations, the government complied with the agreements with Congress.
