Three Barcelona stars must leave the club in this transfer window to make financial support possible. In the midst of an intense financial crisis, the team is unable to sign up its reinforcements due to lack of funds on the payroll.
As a result, those negotiated to make room would be Ronald Araújo or Eric García, Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fanti, according to the newspaper Sport. At the moment, the names are still being debated by the club, but they should receive concrete recommendations soon.
To leave the defense, those listed are Ronald Araújo or Eric García. Only one of the two will leave Barcelona, with more plans for the Uruguayan to leave, as Juventus has shown interest in the defender.
The offer for Ronald would be around 50 million euros. If Araújo doesn’t go to Juventus, Eric should go to Girona or Real Sociedad. With Ronald’s departure, he is expected to stay at Barça at least until the end of the current season.
Another possible release on the squad’s payroll is Frenkie de Jong, who has a full salary and a contract until 2026 with the Catalan club. However, Barcelona’s board is interested in selling him towards the end of the season.
Young Ansu Fati must also leave Barcelona, where he currently has one of the most expensive salaries in the squad. In the sights of Real Betis, Girona, Valencia and Sevilla, the player should be loaned out this season.
