One of the names offered to become Palmeiras’ newest reinforcement is midfielder Jorginho, from Arsenal. Offered to Verdão, there are still no open negotiations, according to ESPN.
The idea of Jorginho at Palmeiras would have come from the player’s own representatives, who ends his contract with the English club in June this year, without renewals. As a result, he has been free to sign pre-contracts since January.
However, there have still been no demonstrations from Palmeiras, who are focused on negotiations for Andreas Pereira, the main objective of the transfer window for the alviverde.
Who is Jorginho
Despite being Brazilian, Jorginho wrote his history in European football, and has played for Arsenal since 2022. His history in Europe is so great that the player became a naturalized Italian to be able to play for the Italian team instead of the Brazilian one.
Now 33 years old, he is a reserve at Arsenal, and is looking for new opportunities in other teams.
