The mayor of Belo Horizonte, (PSD), was intubated again after experiencing respiratory instability and remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mater Dei Hospital, in the capital of Minas Gerais.
The politician must undergo a tracheostomy this Friday (10) to receive better respiratory care, according to the medical bulletin released this Thursday afternoon (9).
The mayor is hospitalized with respiratory failure caused by pneumonia.
On Tuesday (7), the hospital announced that the politician was infectious and that the antibiotics were adjusted according to laboratory tests.
The extubation procedure had been carried out on Monday (6).
During the 2024 election campaign, Fuad Noman disclosed that he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
