Councilor with the most votes in the São Paulo election, () communicated this Friday (10) to the mayor () that he will not be part of his support base and will adopt an independent stance in the City Council.
“I will help with projects and actions that I believe in and criticize what needs to be criticized”, he stated. According to him, this will be done with respect and without disruption. “Even whatever is wrong, I will try to help fix it”
The conversation between Pavanato and Nunes had as one of the topics the councilor’s nomination for the sub-prefecture of Pinheiros, one of the most important in the city. According to the parliamentarian, it would be a technical framework he trusts.
“I stated that, even with this appointment, I could not stop monitoring the machine, stop exposing what is wrong in the city. Therefore, I chose to give up having positions in the city hall and maintain independence”, he declared.
Pavanato stated that he has no criticism of Nunes. “He fulfilled the agreement he had with me to accept my nomination, I preferred to remain independent.”
