The Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa (PT)stated that the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is in a period of “reflection” and has not yet decided on the changes it can make in the government.
“The president is evaluating, he has not decided on changes in the government. It is in a phase of reflection”, he stated, in an interview with GloboNews this Thursday (9).
According to him, the departure of the minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication (Secom), Paulo Pimenta, was due to the fact that the government is entering a “new moment in management”.
“It’s as if the first half has ended, we are entering the second half, given the rapid changes in the way the population accesses communication”, he commented.
Publicist Sidônio Palmeira will take over Pimenta’s role. According to Costa, the new minister will take office next Tuesday (14), but he is already working and departed today with Lula.

He stated that there will be a ministerial meeting on the 21st and that changes can be made sooner.
