The Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa (PT)stated that the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is in a period of “reflection” and has not yet decided on the changes it can make in the government.

“The president is evaluating, he has not decided on changes in the government. It is in a phase of reflection”, he stated, in an interview with GloboNews this Thursday (9).

According to him, the departure of the minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication (Secom), Paulo Pimenta, was due to the fact that the government is entering a “new moment in management”.

“The president is focusing on improving management. And, therefore, there is an indication from the president that he wants to make any changes this month”, said Rui Costa.

He stated that there will be a ministerial meeting on the 21st and that changes can be made sooner.

Before the statements by the Minister of the Civil House, the expectation of the political world was that the changes would be postponed until after the elections for president of the Chamber and the Senate, scheduled for the beginning of February.
