Have you noticed yellow or brown spots on the leaves of the Spathiphyllum? They are the result of direct sunlight which scorches these parts. Remember that this plant grows naturally in the tropics, where it is obscured by tree crowns.

The most common care mistake when growing this specimen is incorrect watering. Excessive irrigation can lead to diseases and pests, and even the death of the plant. The roots will begin to rot and the leaves will turn black. In turn, when they dry out, the leaves will curl and wilt. Tap water, rich in calcium and chlorine, contributes to the browning of the tips of these plant parts.

In winter, the leaves of the Spathiphyllum will turn brown and lose their firmness due to too dry air in the room. Their green color will fade in drafts and sudden temperature drops.
