Plock – Austria’s men’s handball national team did not deliver a successful dress rehearsal for the upcoming World Cup. Aleš Pajovič’s selection suffered a 27:28 (15:14) defeat against Japan at the end of the four-nation tournament in Plock on Friday. Previously, the event had seen a 19:31 defeat against hosts Poland and a 32:30 defeat against Tunisia. The first World Cup match will take place next Tuesday in Porec against Kuwait.
