Police campaign in Spain reports success: A member of a criminal group turned himself in at the station

In the Spanish region of Murcia they detained a Pole who was wanted on the basis of a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) for illegal drug trade and membership in a criminal organization. It was announced by the Spanish police on Friday, TASR informs about it according to the PAP agency.

As a member of an international criminal organization, Marek Dawid Legiec allegedly traded drugs worth more than one million euros in Spain, Poland and Germany. The police announced that A 32-year-old man turned himself in at the police station in Murcia, in the southeast of the country, because of “strong pressure that limited practically every movement of his.” during a police information campaign.

The list shortly after Christmas included nine men wanted for murder, pedophilia and drug trafficking. Legiec was one of them. Polish authorities issued an EAW on him in 2022, saying he may be hiding in Spain.
