The state of São Paulo recorded 2,058 deaths from dengue in 2024, according to the Ministry of Health’s monitoring panel. The consultation was carried out by CNN this Saturday (11).
According to the folder data, the number of probable cases in the state has surpassed the 2 million case mark.
Compared to the numbers raised by the Ministry of Health in 2023, the number of deaths increased by 602%with 293 deaths recorded in the previous year.
During the last year, other 342 deaths are investigated as possible deaths as a result of the disease, but are not counted.
Capital of São Paulo
Of the total number of deaths, 473 are in the city of São Pauloaround 22% of deaths in the state, and more than 630 thousand probable cases of dengue, around 29% of state cases of dengue.
Compared to the previous year, which had 10 deaths registered in the capital of São Paulo, the The number of deaths from the disease increased by 4,630% between 2023 and 2024.
