Disrespecting the measure and traveling in unauthorized places and times imply a medium-level infraction, with a fine of R$ 130.16 and four points on the driver’s license
Suspended since December 23rd of last year, it will effectively return next Monday (13th). The suspension period ended this Friday (10), but, due to the weekend, the rule will be applied again next week. In the rotation, vehicles are prevented from circulating in certain regions of the city between 7 am and 10 am, in the morning, and from 5 pm to 8 pm, between the afternoon and evening.
The addresses that are restricted to circulation are the Expanded Center, along the roads that delimit the so-called Minianel Viário. The region covers the Tietê and Pinheiros marginals, Bandeirantes and Afonso D’Escragnole Taunay avenues, Maria Maluf Road Complex, Tancredo Neves Avenue, Rua das Juntas Provisórias, Viaduto Grande São Paulo and Professor Luís Inácio de Anhaia Melo and Salim Farah Maluf avenues. According to the Traffic Engineering Company (CET), disrespecting the rotation and driving in places and times that are not permitted imply a medium-level infraction, with a fine of R$ 130.16 and four points on the driver’s license.
The restriction day is defined based on the vehicle’s license plate number:
- -Monday: 1 and 2
- Tuesday: 3 and 4
- Wednesday: 5 and 6
- Thursday: 7 and 8
- Friday: 9 and 0
