This Friday (10), a student was approved in the first call at the State University of Londrina (UEL), and now it is the video of the approval that has repercussions on the networks
In 2025, Ana Laura Ramazotti would start her 10th year looking for a position in . The 26-year-old, resident of Jaú (), shared the milestone on a social network and said she was “in a panic” about another study cycle focused on the entrance exam. The video resonated not only with supportive comments, but also with criticism of the young woman’s years of studies, who dreamed of entering a public university.
This Friday (10), however, the student was approved in the first call at the State University of Londrina (UEL), and now it is the video of the approval – and Ana Laura’s emotional celebration – that has repercussions on the networks. “I was very ashamed before. Nowadays I’m no longer ashamed because I recognize that it’s a privilege to be able to pay for all this coursework, to have the means, but I no longer have the psychological conditions”, said the student four days ago, in the video in which her story went viral.
Ana said that she had already received some approvals through , with a 50% scholarship, and , but did not enroll in the courses for financial reasons. “I have grades for Fies and ProUni, I already got a scholarship. But I would still have to pay around R$5,000 to R$6,000, and my parents are retired, so it’s out of the question.”
Responding to comments, Ana also stated that she did not take entrance exams for universities in more distant regions, where competition may be less, due to the condition of her parents, who are elderly and need care due to health problems. Londrina, where the campus where the young woman will study is located, is 330 km away from Jaú, and plane travel will not be necessary to visit the family.
“A lot of people commented that I should change courses, give up altogether, but I’d rather spend that time now than enroll in any course, major in something I didn’t want and live the rest of my life thinking ‘what if I had tried? again’”, commented the student, who in the past was approved in dentistry at (USP).
