A 4-year-old child suffered serious injuries after falling from a window on the 4th floor of a building in São José dos Pinhais, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. The accident happened late this Sunday morning (12), in the Bom Jesus neighborhood. The boy had fractures to his left femur and wrist.
Residents of the condominium reported that they saw the child hanging from the window, which does not have bars or protective screens. Moments later the boy fell from a height of approximately 12 meters. The child fell on a grassy area and was rescued in serious condition by the Fire Department.

Rescuers reported that despite serious injuries, the boy was taken to Hospital Universitário Evangélico Mackenzie and remains unstable. It is not yet known what caused the accident.
The child’s family members are at the hospital and follow the procedures.
