Soap and water
Good old fashioned hard work and muscle engagement is one fairly effective way to remove moss from wood. True, it can take a lot of time to go around the entire fence with a bucket filled to the brim with soapy water. But this method is very effective, and those who have already tried it claim, with some exaggeration, that the fence looks like new.
High pressure cleaner
Another option is to clean the moss with a high-pressure cleaner, colloquially known as a vacuum cleaner. True, not everyone has it at home. You can easily borrow it, for example from that slanderous neighbor, and try it out. If you are satisfied with the result of the work, do not be afraid to invest in the purchase.
It’s worth it because you can also use the mop to clean other problem areas, for example those with a steel structure, or a fence if you don’t have one made of wood, or for example a metal garage or for cleaning the wheels of a car. We only recommend setting a reasonable level of pressure so that your wooden shed is not just a firewood shed.
Vinegar
If at the beginning of the work you see that the first option soap + water does not handle the situation perfectly, another option is offered – vinegar. This is because it is an alkaline liquid and it is said to kill the algae slowly but surely. The procedure is that you spray the vinegar on the areas occupied by moss using a sprayer with a pump, leave it on for about 20 minutes and then scrub it off with a brush with stiff bristles. Once you’re done with this part, rinse everything thoroughly.
Chemical agents
Whether you have a wooden fence or a steel fence, there are powerful cleaners on the market for both options. There are many different types and it is important that you pay attention to one that is safe for plants and pets. Either yours, or the neighbor who lent you a car after having a problem with your unsightly fence, and who also has a dog.

Do not embark on larger actions without testing on a small area of treated material. Try it in an inconspicuous place where minor damage would not be a problem.
