Vitória is eliminated from the São Paulo Junior Football Cup. Leão faced Ferroviária this Sunday afternoon (12) and, after a hard-fought game, ended up defeated on penalties by 7-6.
The match started with Vitória at a disadvantage, with a goal from Ferroviário in the 16th minute. Schilliing took a corner kick and Ticianelli headed in, unmarked, opening the scoring.
After conceding a goal, Leão increased the pressure and reached a draw in the first half, with a goal from Emanoel. In the second half, Lohan, who had just entered, rebounded, spun and shot the ball into the back of the net, putting Vitória in the lead.
The red and black team from Bahia suffered a draw from Ferroviária in the final minutes of the match, with a penalty goal from Thiagão, taking the decision to penalties.
In the penalties, defender Kauan was the only one to lose, already in the additional penalties, which sealed Vitória’s elimination from the competition. With the result, the team says goodbye to Copinha, while Ferroviária advances to the next phase.
