The bodies of João Augusto Toesca and veterinarian João Vitor Toesca were buried this Saturday (11), victims of an accident recorded on PR-444, in Mandaguari, in the North of Paraná. The burial took place in Umuarama, in the northwest of the state.
The wake of father and son was marked by much commotion and tributes. On social media, many friends left emotional farewell messages for the veterinarian and his father, who died in the serious accident.
“He was a top 10 guy! Friend and client of the company. May God receive you with lots of light”, wrote a friend to João Augusto.
Mayor decrees three-day mourning in honor of veterinarian and father killed in accident
The mayor of Umuarama, Fernando Scanavaca, declared three days of official mourning for the death of the veterinarian and also the livestock farmer. “A very beloved family, known and respected in the municipality and throughout the region”, highlighted the mayor in the decree.

On social media, the death of father and son moved residents of Umuarama, a city in the northwest of the state where the family lived. A well-known school in the region issued a note mourning the veterinarian’s death.

A woman who worked with João Augusto also spoke out about their deaths. She said in her post that they were very close and that she will miss them.
“Rest in peace, João Toesca. God took you and your son, because you were very close. They were great bosses for us. We will miss you,” said one woman.
The three were returning from an international trip and heading towards Umuarama. The family was trapped in the wreckage and the veterinarian’s father needed to be intubated while he was still trapped in the wreckage. João’s mother was taken to Bom Samaritano Hospital, in Maringá.
