Companies need “masculine energy,” says Zuckerberg. Director of Meta talks about the “neutral” society and throws himself at Apple.
Companies were trying to move away from “masculine energy”, in a more neutral context. But masculine energy is positive for companies.
The analysis is Mark Zuckerberg: “I think that It’s good to have masculine energy; and obviously society has a lot of that – but I think corporate culture was really trying to move away from that.”
“I think this is all good. But I think corporate culture has kind of started to lean towards being this thing a little bit more neutral”, said the director of Meta, in podcast .
Putting himself on the other side: “If you are a woman entering a company, probably Do you feel like the company is very masculine?. There is not enough energy you can have naturally“.
And further: “We want women to be successful and for companies to harness the full potential of great professionals, regardless of their origin or gender”, assured Zuckerberg.
Right at the beginning of the conversation, the businessman was asked about the end of his company’s services, which will be replaced by “community notes”.
Zuckerberg explained that this fact-checking program was “really destroys trust” of users.
And he criticized the stance of the still US president, Joe Biden. It revealed that the White House tried to get Facebook to delete information about possible side effects of vaccines. “The Biden administration put a lot of pressure on us to delete content that, honestly, was true.”
The alleged pressure from the US Government doesn’t stop there, he claims: the White House was putting pressure on Facebook to delete posts containing content that the Government considered to be disinformation. “Basically, these people from the Biden administration called our team and they shouted.”
The businessman also said that the White House tried to get Meta to remove a meme which suggested that people who get the COVID-19 vaccine would end up being part of class-action lawsuits.
The Meta director also revealed that authorities of the USA, including the CIA, can see WhatsApp messages of any user, by remotely invading devices, bypassing the platform’s end-to-end encryption.
A WhatsApp encryption prevents Meta from seeing the content of messages, but does not protect physical access to the cell phone; in other words, it does not prevent authorities from seeing messages stored on the device.
In fact, this was one of the reasons for the creation of temporary messages no WhatsApp.
In the same interview, Mark Zuckerberg criticized the Apple, what “he didn’t invent anything” relevant in recent times: “It’s as if Steve Jobs invented the iPhone, and now they’ve been sitting on it for 20 years.”
