From the late 1990s until well into the 2010s, those who had a lot of free time during the day were able to study Doug, his wife Carrie, their father Arthur and friends of the family extensively. The US sitcom King of Queens (1998 to 2007) ran on a continuous loop during this time. The end was reached – as is often the case in series – when the Heffernans became a family in a more conventional and conservative sense and children moved into the small house in Queens.
