A strong explosion in some homes on Zabalegui de Noáin street, in Pamplona, has injured nine people, seven of whom have been transferred to the University Hospital of Navarra and two to the municipality’s health center.
The explosion occurred at 6:00 p.m. and may have affected between 10 and 15 homes, as police sources have informed EFE. The Provincial Police had established a security device for a gas leak and the explosion of the boiler in a home at 3:35 p.m. this Monday, which caused no injuries and “little material damage.” Subsequently, there was a second explosion that destroyed part of the semi-detached housing building.
Firefighters, ambulances, local police and Foral Police are in the area. Local residents have told EFE that a loud explosion was heard that made even the walls shake and left part of the town without power.
