The death of Samu rescuer, Patrícia Ribeiro Pontes, moved residents of Ortigueira, in Campos Gerais do Paraná. The young woman, aged 28, was the victim of a massive heart attack and died in her own home this Friday (10).

In addition to working at Samu, Patrícia was an employee of the Highway Department (DER), in Mauá da Serra. An ambulance was called, however, Samu’s rescuer ended up not resisting.
On social media, many tributes were published by friends, fellow rescuers and the young woman’s family. “Patrícia was more than a colleague, she was a friend and an inspiration to all of us”, said a co-worker.
Samu rescuer who died leaves young children
Patrícia was buried this Monday (13), in Mauá da Serra, in the North of Paraná, the municipality where she lived. She left two young children. Fellow rescuers paid tribute to her at the Samu headquarters, in Ortigueira.
