Sunday night: state of affairs of the fires

On Sunday night, after six uninterrupted days of fires, the situation is stabilizing but is far from being controlled. In the smaller foci (Hurst, Lidia, Sunset, Kenneth) all evacuation obligations have been lifted, so people who had to flee threatened by the flames can now return to their homes. None of them have left fatalities.

As of Sunday at 10:00 p.m. (West Coast time, 1:00 a.m. Eastern time, 7:00 a.m. in mainland Spain), active fires are Palisadesfirst of all, and then Eaton. The situation is like this.

Fire Palisades: 9,600 hectares burned, with only 13% controlled, and eight deaths. It is already the third (and will soon climb one position) most destructive fire in California history, with more than 5,300 structures destroyed. It may be made worse by strong winds this week.

Fire Eaton: It has already burned more than 5,700 hectares and is 27% controlled. It leaves eight dead and 4,000 structures destroyed (the fourth in the history of the State). The winds are not expected to make it worse.
